SUMMARY

1. If the Kohen performs the Haza'ah of a Chatas ha'Of on the lower portion of the Mizbe'ach l'Shem Olas ha'Of, it is valid. The owner fulfills his obligation according to Rebbi Shimon.

2. If a Korban of Kodshim Kalim is slaughtered in the south of the Azarah l'Shem Kodshei Kodashim, the owner does not fulfill his obligation according to Rebbi Shimon.

3. If one made a Neder to bring a Minchah in a Machavas, and he brought it instead in a Marcheshes, it is considered a Minchas Marcheshes. He does not fulfill his Neder.

4. If one made a Neder saying, "This shall be brought in a Minchas Machavas," and he brought it instead in a Marcheshes, according to the Rabanan it is Pasul. According to Rebbi Shimon it is valid, and he fulfills his Neder.

5. If a Kohen slaughters a Par Kohen Mashi'ach l'Shem Pesach or l'Shem Asham, it is valid. The owner fulfills his obligation according to Rebbi Shimon.

6. Rava says that if a Minchas Marcheshes is brought l'Shem Minchas Machavas, according to Rebbi Shimon the owner fulfills his obligation. If a Minchah is brought l'Shem Zevach, the owner does fulfill his obligation.

7. If a Chatas which is brought for Achilas Dam is brought l'Shem Achilas Chelev or l'Shem Avodah Zarah, according to Rava it is valid even according to the Rabanan. Rav Aka bar Rava says it is Pasul.

8. Rava agrees that if a Chatas which is brought for Achilas Dam is brought l'Shem the Chatas of a Nazir or of a Metzora, it is Pasul according to the Rabanan, since an Olah is brought together with a Chatas Nazir or Metzora.

9. Rav Ashi says that even according to Rebbi Shimon, if the Kohen says that he is doing the Kemitzah of a Minchas Machavas l'Shem Minchas Marcheshes, the owner does not fulfill his obligation.

A BIT MORE

1. It is readily apparent that it is a Chatas ha'Of, because if it was an Olah ha'Of, Mitzuy would have been done, not Haza'ah, and it would have been done on the upper portion of the Mizbe'ach.

2. Although Kodshei Kodashim may not be slaughtered in the south of the Azarah, it is not readily apparent that it is Kodshim Kalim. It is possible that the Kohen transgressed and slaughtered Kodshei Kodashim in the south of the Azarah.

3. Thus, according to Rebbi Shimon, if the Kohen does the Kemitzah of a Minchas Marcheshes l'Shem Minchas Machavas, the owner fulfills his obligation. It is apparent that it is a Minchas Marcheshes since it cannot be a Minchas Machavas which was brought in a Marcheshes, because in that case it would be regarded as a Minchas Marcheshes. not a Minchas Machavas.

4. According to Rebbi Shimon, the fact that the person vowed to bring the Minchah in a specific type of vessel is not a meaningful part of the Neder.

5. Since a Par is never brought for a Pesach or an Asham, it is apparent that it is not a Pesach or an Asham. Therefore, it is valid and the owner fulfills his obligation according to Rebbi Shimon.

6. According to Rava if it is apparent that the Machshavah of the Kohen is false, there is more reason for the Minchah to be Pasul. Therefore, if a Minchah is brought l'Shem Zevach, the owner does not fulfill his obligation. Nevertheless, it is a Gezeiras ha'Kasuv that if a Minchas Marcheshes is brought l'Shem Minchas Machavas, or if a Minchas Chotei is brought l'Shem Minchas Nedavah the owner fulfills his obligation.

7. Although a Chatas which is brought she'Lo Lishmah is Pasul, a Chatas brought for Achilas Chelev, Achilas Dam, or for Avodah Zarah is considered the same Korban. If one is brought l'Shem the other it is valid.

8. According to Rebbi Shimon, even if a Chatas which is brought for Achilas Dam is brought l'Shem the Chatas of a Nazir or of a Metzora, it is valid.

9. Rebbi Shimon says that the owner fulfills his obligation when the Kohen says that he is doing the Kemitzah of a Machavas l'Shem Marcheshes. Since the Kohen mentioned only the vessel without mentioning the term "Minchah," his words are meaningless.
