SUMMARY

1. If one causes a Mum to a Korban after the Shechitah but before the Kabalah, the Korban is Pasul.

2. If the body of a Korban is inside the Azarah and the leg of the Korban is outside the Azarah, and the leg is cut until the bone prior to the Kabalah, the Korban is valid.

3. If the body of a Korban is inside the Azarah and the leg of the Korban is outside the Azarah, and the leg is cut to the bone after the Kabalah, it is Pasul.

4. The Shechitah and Kabalah of Kodshei Kodashim must be done in the north of the Azarah. If the Shochet is in the south of the Azarah and he slaughters a Korban which is standing in the north, it is valid.

5. If an animal of Kodshei Kodashim convulses after the Shechitah and moves into the south of the Azarah, it is valid.

6. The Shechitah and Kabalah of Kodshim Kalim must be inside the Azarah. If the Shochet is outside the Azarah and he slaughters a Korban which is standing inside the Azarah, it is valid.

7. An animal of Kodshim Kalim which convulses after the Shechitah and moves out of the Azarah is Pasul.

8. Rava says that if a Korban which is Kodshei Kodashim was hung in the air during the Shechitah, it is Pasul.

9. Rava says that if the Kabalah of the blood of a Korban was done by a Kohen while he was hanging in the air, it is Pasul.

10. If the blood of a Korban is sprinkled on the ramp of the Mizbe'ach or on the wrong place on the Mizbe'ach, the Korban may not be eaten.

11. If a person who is ineligible to perform the Avodah sprinkles the blood of a Korban on the wrong place on the Mizbe'ach, a Kohen shall receive more blood from the Korban and sprinkle it on the Mizbe'ach.

12. If a person who is ineligible to perform the Avodah receives the blood of a Korban with intent to eat the Korban outside the allotted place or after the allotted time for that Korban, a Kohen shall receive more blood from the Korban and sprinkle it on the Mizbe'ach.

A BIT MORE

1. A Korban must be unblemished for both the Shechitah and the Kabalah.

2. Since the bone was not cut, it is not considered a Mum.

3. The blood in the leg is Pasul because it is outside the Azarah. That blood becomes mixed with the rest of the blood in the body of the animal and will exit the animal at the place of the Shechitah, and will fall into the vessel used for receiving the blood of the Korban. Therefore, it is Pasul.

4. However, if the Kohen is in the south of the Azarah and he receives the blood of an animal of Kodshei Kodashim which is in the north of the Azarah, it is Pasul. If the head and most of the body of the Kohen are in the north of the Azarah, the Kabalah is valid.

5. It is not necessary for the Kodshei Kodashim to remain in the north of the Azarah the entire time. The Pesul of Yotzei applies only when there are dividing walls.

6. However, if the Kohen is outside the Azarah and he receives the blood of Kodshim Kalim which is inside the Azarah, it is Pasul. Even if most of his body is inside the Azarah, it is not sufficient. The Kohen must be completely inside the Azarah.

7. Since the animal moved out of the Azarah, it becomes Pasul because of Yotzei.

8. The Torah states that Kodshei Kodashim must be slaughtered next to the Mizbe'ach. Since it is in the air, it is not next to the Mizbe'ach. In contrast, if an animal of Kodshim Kalim is hung in the air and slaughtered, it is valid.

9. However, if the Korban was hanging in the air during the Kabalah, it is valid.

10. Shmuel says that since the blood was sprinkled on the Mizbe'ach, even though it was sprinkled on the wrong place on the Mizbe'ach, the Korban atones for the owner, but it may not be eaten.

11. According to Shmuel, the Korban is valid even if the blood is sprinkled on the wrong place on the Mizbe'ach. Only if a person who is ineligible to perform the Avodah sprinkles the blood in the wrong place on the Mizbe'ach may a Kohen subsequently receive more blood and sprinkle it properly on the Mizbe'ach.

12. Since the person who had the improper intent was ineligible to perform the Avodah, his thoughts do not cause the Korban to become Pasul.
