SUMMARY

1. If one offers, outside the Azarah, anything which may be offered on the Mizbe'ach, he is Chayav Kares.

2. Even if one offers, outside the Azarah, Kodshim which became Pasul in the Azarah, he is Chayav Kares.

3. If one offers, outside the Azarah, half an olive's size of the flesh of an Olah along with another half an olive's size of the Eimurim, he is Chayav Kares.

4. If one eats half an olive's size of the flesh of a Korban along with another half an olive's size of the Eimurim of a Korban, he is Chayav for Pigul, Nosar, and Tamei.

5. If a Kohen has a thought of Pigul on half an olive's size of the flesh of a Korban and on half an olive's size of the Eimurim, an Olah becomes Pigul but a Shelamim does not become Pigul.

6. According to Rebbi Yehoshua, the blood of a Korban may be placed on the Mizbe'ach only if there is at least an olive's size of flesh or Eimurim remaining from the Korban.

7. If one brings an olive's size piece of a Kometz, Levonah, Minchas Kohen, or Minchas Kohen Gadol outside the Azarah, he is Chayav, according to the Tana Kama. Rebbi Eliezer says that he is Chayav only if he brings the entire amount.

8. If a small amount was missing from a Minchah before one offered it outside the Azarah, he is not Chayav.

9. If one offers an olive's size of the Ketores of the Heichal outside the Azarah, he is Chayav even according to Rebbi Eliezer.

10. If an amount the size of an olive of the Ketores of the Kodesh Kodashim which is brought on Yom ha'Kipurim was brought outside the Azarah according to the Tana Kama there is a Chiyuv. Rebbi Eliezer disagrees.

11. If one offers less than an olive's size of a Kometz or of Eimurim, or he pours less than three Lugin of wine or water outside the Azarah, he is not Chayav.

A BIT MORE

1. If one offers the Kometz or Levonah of a Minchah, the Ketores, Minchas Kohanim, or Minchas Kohen Gadol, or if he is Menasech three Lugin of wine or water outside the Azarah, he is Chayav Kares.

2. One who offers, outside the Azarah, any Kodshim Pesulim which, if placed on the Mizbe'ach would not be removed, is Chayav Kares.

3. However, if one offers half an olive's size of the flesh of a Shelamim along with another half an olive's size of the Eimurim of the Shelamim outside the Azarah, he is not Chayav, because the flesh of a Shelamim is not something that is brought on the Mizbe'ach.

4. If a Korban is Pigul, Nosar, or Tamei and one eats an olive's size of the meat, he is Chayav. The Eimurim and flesh of the Korban combine to make the Shi'ur of an olive.

5. Since an Olah is offered in its entirety on the Mizbe'ach, if the Kohen has a thought to burn half an olive's size of flesh and half an olive's size of Eimurim, the Korban is Pigul. Since both items are offered on the Mizbe'ach, they combine to make the Shi'ur of a k'Zayis. In contrast, the flesh of a Shelamim is eaten, and its Eimurim are offered on the Mizbe'ach. Hence, if the Kohen has a thought to burn or to eat a half an olive's size of flesh and half an olive's size of Eimurim of a Shelamim, the two items do not combine to make a Shi'ur of a k'Zayis, because the Eimurim are not eaten and the flesh is not placed on the Mizbe'ach.

6. In the case of a Korban Olah, if half an olive's size of flesh and half an olive's size of Eimurim remain from the Korban, the blood may be placed on the Mizbe'ach. Since both items, the flesh and the Eimurim, are offered on the Mizbe'ach, they combine to make the Shi'ur of a k'Zayis.

7. If one offered the entire amount on the Mizbe'ach except for a k'Zayis, which he offered outside the Azarah, he is Chayav even according to Rebbi Eliezer.

8. If some of a Minchah is missing, the remainder which is offered on the Mizbe'ach is Pasul. Therefore, if one offers it outside the Azarah, he is not Chayav.

9. The Torah gives no minimum Shi'ur for the Ketores of the Heichal. Therefore, even if only an amount of the Ketores the size of an olive was brought on the Mizbe'ach, the Tzibur fulfills its obligation. Consequently, one is Chayav if he offers, outside the Azarah, an amount of the Ketores the size of an olive.

10. Rabah explains that according to the Tana Kama, even though the Torah gives a Shi'ur for the Ketores of Yom Kippur, it is not a compulsory Shi'ur, and therefore there is a Chiyuv for an olive. Rebbi Eliezer maintains that the Shi'ur is compulsory. Abaye explains that according to the Tana Kama, the Ketores of Yom Kippur is deduced from the Ketores of the Heichal: since an amount the size of an olive suffices for a Chiyuv for the Ketores of the Heichal, it also suffices for a Chiyuv for the Ketores of Yom Kippur (even though the Shi'ur for the Ketores of Yom Kippur is greater than an olive). According to Rebbi Eliezer, the Ketores of Yom Kippur is not deduced from the Ketores of the Heichal.

11. He is exempt even according to the Rabanan, who maintain that if one offers a k'Zayis of a Kometz outside the Azarah he is Chayav. If one pours less than three Lugin of wine or water outside the Azarah, he is exempt even if he poured more than a k'Zayis.
