A BIT MORE

1. For example a Metzora Ani must bring two birds, one for a Chatas and one for an Olah. If he separated money for his Korbanos and he subsequently became wealthy and now he is obligated instead to bring an Olas Behemah and Chatas Behemah he may use all of the money for one or the other Korban.

2. It is a Halachah l'Moshe mi'Sinai that if a Nazir separates Ma'os Stumim or if someone separates money for a Kan and then he dies the money is used for Olos Nedavah.

3. He must take two animals and say that the money that is for the Olah shall be redeemed on animal A and the money that is for the Chatas shall be redeemed on animal B and he shall bring animal A for a Chatas and animal B for an Olah.

4. And if her husband annuls the Nezirus the money for the Olah and Shelamim is used for an Olah and Shelamim and the money for the Chatas is thrown in the Dead Sea.

5. The money for the Chatas is thrown in the Dead Sea and half of the rest of the money is used for an Olah and the other half is used for a Shelamim. If he benefits from all or most of the rest of the money he brings a Korban Me'ilah.

6. If he benefits from the money he brings a Korban Me'ilah.

7. However if he separates animals that are Ba'alei Mumim they have a Din of Ma'os Stumim.

BRIEF INSIGHT

SAFEK OLAH AND SAFEK CHATAS

If someone is obligated to bring both a Chatas and an Olah and he separates money and he says it shall be for my Chov he may not use the money for a Chatas or an Olah. The Rosh says that it is a Safek whether he intended to use the money for the Chatas or an Olah and therefore the money may not be used for a Korban at all. Even though regarding a money that was set aside for a Kan Stumah he may use all of the money for either a Chatas or an Olah, that is because both birds are being brought for the same Chiyuv. But in this case the two Korbanos are being brought for two different Chiyuvim.

QUICK HALACHAH

KAN STUMAH

If someone is Chayav to bring a Kan of birds and he separated money for his Kan, he may use all of the money for either the Chatas or the Olah. Even if he says this money is for my Chatas and this money is for my Olah he may mix up the money and use the combined money for both the Chatas and the Olah, or he may use all of the money for ether a Chatas or an Olah because a Kan can only be specified at the time of purchase, or by the Kohen at the time of Hakravah. Therefore if someone separated money for a Kan and then he dies the money is used for Olos Nedavah because all of the money could of have been used for his Olah.
