Seeing as "Veheinif osam" implies that the Kohen waves the Asham together with the Log of oil, why does the Torah write "Vehikriv oso le'Asham"?

Menachos, 61a: To teach us that Bedi'eved, if he waved them separately, he is Yotzei. It cannot mean that he must wave them twice 1 since "Tenufah" indicates only one Tenufah, and not two.

Why does the Mitaher bring an Asham?

Seforno: Because, whereas a Chatas atones for a Chiyuv Kareis, an Asham atones for a breach of Kedushah, which in this case incorporates Lashon ha'Ra 1 and pride, 2 both of which push away the Shechinah.
