A STOLEN ANIMAL THAT GREW OLDER (Yerushalmi Perek 9 Halachah 2 Daf 38a)

(Mishnah): If one was Gozel an animal or slaves and they grew old, he pays k'Sha'as ha'Gezeilah;
øáé îàéø àåîø éàîø ìå áòáãéí äøé ùìê ìôðéê:
R. Meir says, regarding slaves, he can say 'yours is in front of you' (for slaves are never considered to be stolen).'
âî' øá äåðà àîø áùâæì òâì åðòùä ùåø àáì âæì ùåø åäæ÷éï àåîø ìå äøé ùìê ìôðéê
(Gemara - Rav Huna): This is when he was Gozel a calf and it became an ox, but if he was Gozel an ox and it grew old, he says 'yours is in front of you';
[ãó ìã òîåã à (òåæ åäãø)] ùîåàì àîø àôéìå âæì òâì åðòùä ùåø àåîø ìå äøé ùìê ìôðéê.
(Shmuel): Even if he was Gozel a calf and it became an ox, he says 'yours is in front of you';
úðé øá ÷øðà åàôéìå âæì òâì åðòùä ùåø åèáç åîëø îùìí úùìåîé àøáòä åçîùä òâì
(Rav Karna): Even if he was Gozel a calf and it became an ox, and he slaughtered or sold, he pays four or five calves. (Really, for a calf he pays five; for a kid or lamb, he pays four.)
